How dPlex Works

The dVPlex AVX plug-in is a universal demultiplexing tool. dPlex works in two modes: manual and automatic. In manual mode, the user manually selects the starting field number, then tells dplex how many fields there are per camera and how many cameras the footage contains. dPlex will then isolate and display only the fields you have instructed it to, creating a sequence of shots from the isolated camera. The manual mode works perfectly well for constantly rotating multiplex camera footage, but what if your footage does not have a consistent rotation of cameras? This is when you would use the automatic mode. With automatic mode, you tell dPlex where to start demultiplexing, then select a distinct area of the video (a piece of the video that remains the same throughout all the fields you are interested in) using a bounding box and tolerance controls. dPlex will then attempt to isolate all the frames within the sequence which contain the distinct element you have selected.
